Fracking Jobs Prove Elusive for Coal Miners Looking to Switch

Fracking has created a surplus of jobs, but displaced coal miners are left out of the boom as the positions go to more experienced out-of-state workers, Bloomberg reports. “The ongoing benefits are relatively minute compared to the amount of land under lease,” said Jeff Kessler, a former West Virginia senator.
