1.5 Degrees Warming and the Search for Climate Justice for the Poor

Even if all countries achieve their Paris climate pledges, worldwide emissions in 2030 will lock in 1.5 degrees of warming by the end of this century, according to a draft IPCC report. The half-degree gap from 1.5 to 2 degrees means “a greater likelihood of drought, flooding, resource depletion, conflict and forced migration.”
