12 Years After Hurricane Katrina, Scientists Are Learning What Makes Some Survivors More Resilient Than Others

By studying Hurricane Katrina survivors, scientists are learning about long-term predictors of resilience,including financial resources, social and cultural ties, and access to stable housing. They hope the project, Katrina@10, can help policymakers and recovery programs find and assist vulnerable groups.
