A U.S. Forest Service scientist who was supposed to talk about the role that climate change plays in wildfire conditions at a Montana conference was denied approval by the Department of Agriculture to attend the conference featuring fire experts from around the country. Three U.S. Geological Survey researchers also speaking about climate change are awaiting decisions.
