Coastal Communities Hit by Harvey Will Get $1 Billion for Hazard Mitigation

Texas communities hit by Hurricane Harvey can apply for a share of half a billion dollars in federal money. It will cover everything from buying out homes in flood-prone areas to building new seawalls. The state expects to get over $1 billion in hazard mitigation money from FEMA by late August, the one-year anniversary of the storm.
