As climate change brings warmer, drier conditions to Colorado, the once-common jasmine wildflower may be vanishing, scientists at the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory found after a 25-year experiment. A temperature increase of an additional 3 degrees Fahrenheit would cause the “local extinction” of northern rock jasmine above Crested Butte.
