Congressional Democrats are demanding answers from Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke about why his political appointees asked for early access to data from a study of oil and gas deposits in Alaska, which led a top U.S. Geological Survey scientist to resign. The lawmakers said the move is “the latest in a troubling series of attacks on scientific integrity and ethical lapses.”
