Meet the Satellites That Can Pinpoint Methane and Carbon Dioxide Leaks

Europe’s Tropospheric Monitoring Instrument satellite has been orbiting earth since late last year, gathering data on greenhouse gases. Now, it’s exchanging information with Canada’s satellite, Claire, that detects methane leaks at oil and gas sites so companies can find out where emissions are highest.
