Oil giant Shell outlined a scenario under which the world reaches its Paris climate agreement goals and is in a net-zero emissions state by 2070. The scenario—which Shell stresses is only a scenario and not more—shows oil and natural gas consumption dropping while the world increases use of nuclear power and carbon capture technology.
