President Trump has nominated Bernard McNamee to fill an open seat on the five-member Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. FERC earlier this year rejected a plan to bail out uncompetitive coal and nuclear plants – a plan McNamee had pushed for as a Department of Energy official.
