Con Edison and eight other U.S. utilities mostly from Democratic-led states have filed a legal challenge to the Trump administration’s replacement plan to Obama’s Clean Energy Plan, which aimed to cut carbon emissions from power plants within the goals of the Paris climate agreement. They say the move undermines efforts already under way to cut emissions.
