Although Wednesday’s presidential debate included a climate journalist as a moderator for the first time, and climate change was clearly heightened as a topic, the night never delved into the complexity of the issue. The Democratic candidates also failed to address exactly how they plan to revive moribund U.S. climate policy in the wake of Trump.
