In a public exchange with an Alaskan lawmaker, President Trump on Friday expressed opposition to banks that have said they’re unwilling to fund certain fossil fuel projects. The remark comes after two major banks last week joined a growing list of firms that have pledged to stop directly supporting oil and gas drilling in the Arctic.
