Known for his support of the fossil fuel industry, Montana’s Lawrence VanDyke this year will become President Trump’s 10th appointee to the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Environmentalists worry that the appointees will compromise what has historically been a very pro-environment court, and has handed the Trump administration several defeats on important environmental cases.
