Nine states on Wednesday filed a lawsuit against the EPA for relaxing a range of pollution compliance and monitoring requirements for companies under federal clean air and water laws in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The states, led by New York Attorney General Letitia James, argued the policy is overly broad, not transparent and gives polluters too much leeway.
