2019-2020 was an odd year for US Beekeepers, and scientists are starting to piece together the puzzle behind the cyclical nature of honey bee colony survival. After 2018-2019’s record high winter losses, beekeepers saw the highest summer loss ever in 2019. But the bees rebounded quickly, and by winter, losses had fallen to below average.
