World Leaders Pledge to Prioritize Wildlife and Climate Issues in Recovery Plans Ahead of UN Summit

Leaders from 64 countries, including France, Germany and the UK, have signed onto a new international agreement to put wildlife and the climate at the heart of post-pandemic economic recovery plans, promising to address the climate crisis, deforestation, ecosystem degradation and pollution. The leaders describe the agreement, called the Leader’s Pledge for Nature, as a “turning point.”
