Young Voters, Motivated by Climate Change and Environmental Justice, Helped Propel Biden’s Campaign

Young voters turned out in big numbers this election, playing a critical role in the ascension of Joe Biden to the White House. Voters between the ages of 18 and 29 years old favored Biden over Trump 61 percent to 36 percent, one analysis found. And for many young voters, the prospect of addressing climate change was likely a key motivating factor.
