Spotted lanternfly spreads by hitching a ride with humans
Researchers have found that the spread of the spotted lanternfly population is largely due to human-mediated dispersal via transportation. In other words, these expert hitchhikers are catching rides on our cars, trucks and trains.
The extremely rare cave-dwelling albino fish with no eyes, the Mexican blindcat, has previously only been known to exist in Mexico.
