EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt held closed-door meetings with energy and agriculture industry officials and political representatives in North Dakota as part of a national tour promoting his efforts to roll back environmental regulations. Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D., criticized the secrecy, saying the meetings should have been open to media and the public.
