Update: 4:04PM THE COP23 Presidency Secretariat is once again appealing to both professional and amateur photographers alike to take part in the Pacific Photo Competition.
A Government statement has confirmed the deadline for the competition has been extended to August 25.
Participants will have the opportunity to have their work displayed on the global stage.
The selected photographs will be displayed prominently at COP23 in Bonn, Germany, to highlight the impacts of climate change in the Pacific to delegates and attendees from around the world.
All relevant information about the competition can be found on the COP23 website.
Participants are reminded that the photographs they submit should show:
– The human and/or environmental impacts of climate change; or
– How individuals and groups are mobilising to counter the threat posed by climate change.
The photographs should also be submitted with a short caption that explains where the photograph was taken, what the photograph depicts, and how it relates to the impacts of and responses to climate change.
