Agriculture Secretary Orders Environmental Rollbacks to Spur More Development in National Forests

U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue on Friday ordered the U.S. Forest Service to expedite environmental reviews on its land, paving the way for more grazing, logging and oil development on public lands. It’s the latest among a growing list of actions the Trump administration has taken to boost development on public lands, particularly for the oil and gas industry.
