Alberta Sets Aside $1.4 Billion for Industry to Reduce Carbon Emissions

Alberta, Canada, is setting aside $1.4 billion from its carbon levy to help industry reduce emissions. The oil sands industry will get $440 million to update facilities to meet new guidelines for large emitters, and the rest will be available for other industries like agriculture and manufacturing, the province’s environment minister announced.
