AOC, Sanders Call for ‘Climate Emergency’ Declaration in Congress

Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez introduced a resolution Tuesday asking Congress to declare that global warming is an emergency demanding a massive mobilization of resources to protect the U.S. economy, society and national security. Over two dozen lawmakers, including most of the senators currently running for president, have signed on as co-sponsors.
