California Ranchers and Activists Face Off Over a Federal Plan to Cull a Beloved Tule Elk Herd

Tule elk are at the center of a major battle in Point Reyes National Seashore between ranchers, who say elk are overpopulated and disruptive to their operations, and environmental activists, who think that ranching has degraded the land.
