Canada and the EU have agreed to “promote the mutual supportiveness of trade and climate policies” in an update to their trade agreement. This comes shortly after French President Emmanuel Macron told world leaders in a speech at the UN that countries rejecting the Paris climate pact should not benefit from trade deals.
