The chief executive of the developer of a major copper and gold mine in Alaska resigned on Wednesday over comments made in meetings recorded by an environmental advocacy group. Northern Dynasty Minerals, the parent company for the Pebble Limited Partnership developing the Pebble Mine, called the CEO’s comments, which included boasting of his relationship with local politicians, “offensive.”
