A Canadian court today overturned approval of the Trans Mountain oil pipeline expansion, citing multiple flaws in the National Energy Board’s project assessment. It’s a blow to the Canadian government, which agreed in May to buy the pipeline from Kinder Morgan to help get the expansion built. CBC reports Kinder Morgan shareholders approved the sale today, shortly after the court ruling was released.
