Energy Forecast Sees Global Emissions Growing, Thwarting Paris Climate Accord

Absent any policy changes, the Energy Information Agency projects worldwide carbon emissions from the burning of fossil fuels will grow 16 percent by 2040 — numbers that can’t be squared with the ambitions of the Paris climate agreement.
