A $260 million carbon capture project in Wyoming was set to become one of the world’s foremost examples of the technology, which some climate-modeling experts say is essential to staving off the climate crisis, Bloomberg reports. That was until ExxonMobil—which was planning to begin construction this summer—canceled the project indefinitely, citing the fallout from Covid-19.
