Fiji is hosting the inaugural Climate Action Pacific Partnership in Suva from today.

This event is part of a program of activities of the High Level Champions appointed under the Paris Agreement and it will be hosted by Fiji’s High‑Level Champion Minister Inia Seruiratu.

The agenda features interactive sessions with contributions from Pacific leaders, civil society and the private sector.

Some of the major discussions will be on climate finance and insurance, managing risks and increasing financing for adaptations, NCD’s and technologies for net zero emission, transformative technologies and financing solutions.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama, Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and Governor of California Jerry Brown will also be part of this event.

The event will finish tomorrow.
