The federal government is continuing to pump trillions of dollars into home mortgages in communities that face grave dangers from climate change, Politico reports. In the beachside city of Hialeah, Florida, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac hold the majority of home mortgages in some neighborhoods, where heavy flooding has occurred almost every year. And the problem is expected to get worse.
