Health advocates fear that an important federal review of the risks posed by soot and other air pollution could be undermined by a new EPA policy that would block the use of certain scientific data, such as health studies that promised patients confidentiality. The policy would be a boon for the fossil fuel industry and could also suppress other evidence.
