We are delighted to announce that Kayle Crosson has been appointed Editor of the Green News.
Prior to the role, Kayle was a multimedia reporter on our team and covered an array of climate stories both on the ground and from her desk.
She grew up in New York City, moved to Ireland for her secondary school education and then graduated from Leiden University College in the Netherlands with a degree in World Politics in 2017. She has previously worked at PBS in the United States, World Press Photo in the Netherlands and at the Irish Times as an intern and contributing writer.
Kayle has been handed the editorial reins from Frank McDonald, who graciously stepped in as Guest Editor earlier this year following the departure of the previous editor, Niall Sargent.
Taking on the role is “an honour”, Kayle said.
“We are at a pivotal moment for the climate and biodiversity crisis, and it is an honour to assume the editorship at such a crucial moment.
The crises we face on a societal, economic and ecological level require intersectional reportage, and we are committed to bringing just that to our readers. Expect our usual day-to-day development coverage, as well as long-form features, explainers and interviews with policymakers, community figures and citizens on the frontline of the climate crisis”.
