NASA has launched a pair of satellites that will help to understand Earth’s most pressing climate conditions, such as sea-level rise and melting ice sheets. The new satellites are replacing ones that have been in place since 2002, and feature updated cameras and equipment. The satellites will fly for at least five years and provide data on a monthly basis.
