The day after the bill hit his desk, Michigan Gov. Rick Synder signed legislation that will allow a proposed Line 5 tunnel replacement pipeline to move forward. Synder, a Republican, is about to be replaced by Democrat Gretchen Whitmer, who has voiced opposition to the pipeline.
