Speedier Sea Ice in Warming Arctic Could Spread Pollution Farther

A new study analyzed 239,000 ice formations in the Arctic and found that the movement of sea ice accelerated 14 percent each decade. As the ice moves faster and farther from where it breaks off, the potential for pollutants to travel farther also increases.
