President Trump has close ties to the iconic luxury jewelry brand, Tiffany & Co. There’s a store located near his Trump Tower building in Manhattan, and it’s widely reported that his daughter, Tiffany, was named after the company. Now, the jewelry giant is hoping to make good on its cachet with the president by urging him to stick with the Paris Climate Agreement. On the campaign trail, Trump said he would “renegotiate” the deal because it’s “bad for U.S. business” and allows “foreign bureaucrats control over how much energy we use.”

Thursday, Tiffany & Co. posted this message to the president on its social media accounts.

Tiffany & Co. also placed a full-page ad in The New York Times urging Trump to stick with the Paris Agreement alongside Google, Facebook, and Microsoft.

The Paris Climate Agreement was signed by 195 countries and aims to limit the dangerous effects of climate change by lowering carbon emissions across the globe. The president is ill-informed on climate change, claiming that it’s a “hoax” perpetrated by the Chinese.

Tiffany & Co.’s bold stance has caused outrage in conservative circles, with many calling for a boycott.

As word of the backlash spread, people took to social media to support Tiffany & Co.’s stance.
