Tree-Killing Southern Pine Beetles Spread into Northern U.S. Forests as Temps Rise

Southern pine beetles, which are some of the most destructive insects invading North American pine forests, are making their way north as global temperatures rise. A new study says that even if greenhouse gas emissions are cut, heat-trapping pollution will allow the beetles to keep spreading.
