Two Hurricanes Churn Across Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, Making Landfall on US Shorelines

Two hurricanes on two oceans made landfall on U.S. shorelines between Saturday and Monday morning, both producing maximum sustained winds of 90 miles per hour. Hurricane Douglas mostly spared Hawaii after passing north of the state early Monday. And Hurricane Hanna, the first of the 2020 Atlantic hurricane season, made landfall in Texas on Saturday before weakening to a tropical storm.
