Drillers in the U.S. pumped 9.34 million barrels of oil a day during the last week of June, close to the nation’s 2015 peak numbers, according to the Energy Information Administration. But analysts say the shale market isn’t growing as fast as people think, and companies can’t hire enough people to catch up to demand.
