In what would normally have marked a significant move by the oil and gas capital of the world, Houston unveiled its first Climate Action Plan on Wednesday to little fanfare amid a pandemic that continues to hold the world’s attention, the Houston Chronicle reports. Officials skipped holding even a remote ceremony for the plan, which aims to make the city carbon neutral by 2050 but isn’t legally binding.
