Wyoming’s Republican Governor Explains Veto of Coal Port Lawsuit Bill

Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon says he vetoed legislation that would have allowed the Wyoming Legislature to sue Washington state over a coal export terminal because approving legislative power to litigate would have set “an unprecedented path.” Wyoming lawmakers wanted to sue over Washington’s decision not to grant a water permit to a proposed coal export terminal.
