Teams participating in a recent Stanford Energy Modeling Forum project found minimal negative economic impacts of a carbon tax. Eleven teams looked at various forms of carbon taxes and found that the taxes are effective at reducing the carbon pollution and that the effects on the economy were modest. In each case, environmental benefits far outweighed financial costs.
