Exxon Touts Carbon Capture as a Climate Fix, but Uses It to Maximize Profit and Keep Oil Flowing

Touting itself as the world leader in carbon capture and storage, ExxonMobil says the technology is helping to reduce its carbon footprint. But what the oil giant doesn’t advertise as loudly is how it uses that captured CO2 to boost its oil production, and that it may have reaped hundreds of millions in taxpayer dollars in the process.
