Changes in water temperature have an impact on the dentex in Medes Islands

The movement of the dentex, a fish living in rocky sea floors and marine lands in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, is influenced by the changes in ocean temperatures, according to a study carried out in the Medes Islands. Regarding the climate change, which brings higher temperatures, this behavioral pattern of the dentex –an apical predator in marine areas- could have an impact on the dynamics of the species and the coastal ecosystems.
