Despite a well-known distrust of research-based expertise, President Trump has reluctantly turned to scientific modeling for Covid-19 guidance. But Trump has never even warily embraced modeling on climate change, despite the overall accuracy of at least 17 major warming forecasts going back 50 years. And it’s unlikely that he will anytime soon.
