Alberta, Home to Tar Sands Mining, Unveils Rules for Large Carbon Emitters

Alberta, Canada’s main tar sands province, unveiled new regulations to cut carbon output from large emitters in the oil sands industry, saying emissions will be cut by 19 percent by 2030. Oil sands currently make up 24 percent of Canada’s emissions.
