Honeybees May Be Dying in Greater Numbers Due to Climate Change

U.S. beekeepers say 40 percent of their hives died unexpectedly in the 12-month period that ended in March, a new report says. The deaths are likely due in part to erratic weather patterns that are tied to climate change, says one of the scientists behind the report. Higher death rates make pollination more complicated and expensive for beekeepers farmers.
