Chinese Traders Ditch U.S. Coal for Domestic Supply as Tariffs Loom

Some Chinese coal traders are shifting from U.S. imports to domestic supplies to avoid hefty new tariffs, Reuters reports. New U.S. tariffs on $16 billion of goods are expected to start this week, and Beijing, in response, has pledged tariffs on a similar amount of U.S. imports including metals, fuel and coal.
